How It Works

STREAMx runs multi-channel in-stream video campaigns with a media buy on multiple publishers with different requirements. STREAMx brings the next generation of video ad units to advertisers by supporting VPAID, VAST and in-banner ad packaging across platforms and devices. Our patent-pending composite rendering technology, DynamicVideo Engine®, blends media assets (images, videos and television ads), advertiser data feeds (products, promotions, locations and pricing), and user specific data (location, weather, device) to deliver an unlimited combination of highly relevant and localized ads.

Ad Selector

How It Works

The Ad Selector unit loads a display of four video thumbnails for the user to choose from. A ticking countdown indicates the time remaining to select one of those thumbnails and decide which ad to watch. If no selection is made, one of the videos will play automatically. The auto-played video can be set to a single video or to a random rotation of the videos in the selector. When the video ends, the ad unloads and the content begins.

Hot Spot

How It Works

As the ad begins, a circular flashing indicator appears over the key aspects within the video. A click on the hotspot pauses the video and opens a box containing text, video and/or images that reveal more information about the hotspot. The video is resumed when the viewer closes the hotspot box. The standard hotspot is a pulsing circle, but the hotspot’s shape and behavior can be customized.

  • Engagement is quantified by tracking users’ interaction with the hotspot icons

View Tube

How It Works

A “chromeless” YouTube window appears within the ad unit paired with a large “Play” button overlay. A black or branded background frames the video window while a ticking countdown indicates the time remaining to interact with the unit. When a user clicks, the video begins to stream from YouTube, adding to the number of views on the YouTube View Counter.

Valid View (Skippable Unit)

How It Works

Our Cost-per-View offering features an overlay with a countdown to inform viewers they can “skip the video in [5] seconds.” After the countdown, a skip link appears and remains visible until the end of the ad. The standard CPV mark is :30 seconds for long form videos.

Mini Site

How It Works

As the ad begins, an animated tab appears in the corner of the video with an explicit call-out. A click or hover over the tab pauses the video and opens a frame containing a microsite. This microsite is completely customizable, featuring multiple tabs and offering additional ways to engage with the brand, product, or promotion. This high-engagement unit requires custom design for the microsite on top of a template foundation. Features can include image galleries, coupons, promotions, maps, social media buttons, and customizable call to action buttons.
